On Being Human Retreat

Embrace imperfection, connect to your inner dork, quiet your inner asshole, become more fearlish-ish & The Land-Of-Not-Enoughness.
Let the snot fly, breathe, write.
“Unshould yourself by releasing all your “shoulds”.

Bear witness.
Wake up, live real & listen hard.
An experience that is sometimes messy & beautiful, but mostly human.

Wake Up, Live Real, & Listen Hard during this wonderful retreat, On Being Human. We will spend time ‘going deep and embracing all the things that consume us’. There will be yoga and meditation with Elizabeth Conway "(“Ceri”) and we will also share time with other guest teachers. For the yoga practices, no yoga experience is required. Jen always says, ‘stop being assholes to yourself’- let’s spend this time together learning to stop. By the way, Jen owns the domain ‘DontBeAnAsshole.net’.

I’ve been looking at the magical pictures from the retreat in France last year with Jennifer Pastiloff. Come rest in a 1000 year old estate overlooking a misty wine valley. Practice yoga and meditation - no experience needed. Most of all, speak the truth, meet amazing people, connect, become human again, and do love.

Three months later, as I try to put the beauty and absurdity of the past week on paper—seven days spent workshopping and laughing and dancing and swimming and stargazing and holding hands and hearts at a dreamy 17th century chateau with some of the most dazzling people I’ve ever met, I can’t help thinking: This book actually changed my life.

I wish I had the poetic words to describe this beautiful human Jen Pastiloff. I don’t really do poems but I will try to give you my deepest echoes of my heart. “The care in which you hold people in this world is a gift from the divine, it’s as if you hold all of our hearts and massage them until they have softened enough so that we may take them back , and go into the world so that we manifest our lives, so that we may love, so that we may live in compassion for ourselves and others. You are love, you are compassion, you are grace. Thank you for the beautiful gift of your presence in Italy. Allowing my heart to be massaged and cared for by a group of loving, safe, kind, beautiful individuals. I am forever changed. ️ I love you!”
